Orchestra in the Schools recently established an Endowment Fund with the Community Foundation for Monterey County (CFMC). Our Community Foundation is ranked among the top 100 Community Foundations in the US based upon asset size. CFMC's annual average investment return over the past five years was 5.1%.
The goal of OITS is to grow its Endowment Fund to $300,000 to create an annual cash flow supporting operating expenses. We believe this is an achievable goal as we reach out to potential donors and showcase all that OITS continues to accomplish by engaging young people in the expressive art of music.
Why establish an endowment? An endowment can provide fiscal stability and longevity for our successful and innovative program: Inspiring Success for All Children through Music.
Donations can be made as cash, stocks, IRA rollover funds, named in a will or trust. Your generous donation will help sustain OITS in the years to come.
How to make cash donations: Make your check payable to: Community Foundation for Monterey County (CFMC). Write "OITS Endowment" in the memo line. Send it to: CFMC, 2354 Garden Road, Monterey CA 93940
